A New Standard in Efficiency
Arbeta, part of The Sharp Project Family, has undergone a remarkable £9.95 million transformation to become a dynamic workspace for digital, tech, creative, and media businesses. The redesign, led by PRP Architects, focused on unifying the existing three-block structure into a single, cohesive environment. A striking new ETFE roof now encloses a central, full-height atrium spanning 9,100 sq. ft., serving as a collaborative hub for events and communal workspaces. A bold steel staircase and open walkways seamlessly connect the three levels, creating an inviting and modern atmosphere.
The transformation of Arbeta called for a high-performance, energy-efficient lighting solution that complements its cutting-edge workspace. PopPack LED was the perfect choice, delivering bright, uniform illumination while reducing energy consumption and maintenance costs. With its sleek black finish and long lifespan, PopPack LED seamlessly integrates into the building’s contemporary design, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics.
A Showcase of Modern Design
With a vision of creating a high-performance, cost-effective workspace, the lighting solution needed to fulfill several key criteria. First and foremost, energy efficiency was a priority to keep long-term operational costs low while promoting sustainability.
At the same time, the lighting had to complement the building’s modern design, providing a sleek, contemporary look. Ensuring uniform, glare-free illumination was another crucial requirement, particularly in circulation areas and staircases, where visibility and comfort are essential. Lastly, a long lifespan was vital to minimize maintenance efforts, aligning with the project’s commitment to sustainability and reducing disruptions in a busy workspace. This case study is particularly relevant for installers, facility managers, and lighting designers, as it demonstrates how carefully selected LED solutions can enhance workspaces while reducing costs and environmental impact.
Sleek appearance of the new Black PopPack
To meet these needs, PopPack LED batten fittings were chosen as the ideal solution. The 4000K color temperature and high color rendering index (CRI >80) create a natural and comfortable lighting experience, enhancing visibility and the overall ambiance of the space.
